This Royal egg grader has a fixed value of 23 ounces per dozen. The scale is made of tin. Models for other weights, usually 22 or 24 ounces per dozen, are also found. They were manufactured for a bakery or flour mill as a giveaway item.
Pressed on the cover of the base is: ROYAL / 23 OZ.
